Magenta Celebrates Continued Growth and International Expansion in 2017

London, 09 January 2018 – Private hire and taxi dispatch software specialist Magenta Technology is celebrating the start of 2018 following a year of significant growth. In 2017 Magenta welcomed many new customers both in the UK and internationally. Users of Magenta’s ‘autonomics’ dispatch engine, launched in April, also celebrated award success scooping top accolades at the Professional Driver QSI (Quality Service Innovation) Awards in London.

2017 was a significant year for Magenta,” commented Torsten Brose, Business Development Director at Magenta Technology. “We consolidated a number of development themes culminating in the launch of, what has already proved to be, our game changing autonomics engine. By effectively thinking for itself, this advanced optimisation system uses arrival times based on real traffic conditions and driver availability, rather than zones and queues, allowing users to operate to their full potential.

In addition to the new autonomics engine, Magenta also launched new Business Intelligence Dashboards. Giving users the ability try out different scenarios and instantly see the impact, the new dashboards mean operators can make decisions based on real results rather than just gut feelings. The Magenta BI Dashboards can also help with issues such as driver retention and are second to none in terms of intelligence, usability, visualisation and, importantly, results.

The market responded to our innovations as we knew it should and would,” continued Brose. “We feel that we are making some serious headway in showing our industry that there is an alternative to those dispatch systems that just digitise the systems of old. ‘Fresh thinking, new ideas’ is our motto and we are delighted to see new customers buying into our vision and reaping the benefits of increased market share, profitability and even award wins, as a result.

In 2017 Magenta increased its client base significantly. New customers, including Norwich based Enterprise Cars and London based Cheetah and Swift Cars, amongst others, joined the Magenta family, taking the total number of vehicles dispatched using Magenta technology well into the thousands.

In November 2017 Magenta users Carrot Cars, Location Cars and Greentomatocars joined Magenta at the Professional Driver QSI (Quality Service Innovation) Awards. Location Cars won Silver in the Private Hire Company of the Year Small Operator category, while Carrot cars achieved Bronze in the Large Operator category. Greentomatocars also scooped Silver in the Environmental section of these prestigious and hard fought awards.
