Social Media & Content Specialist, Magenta Technology

Full time | Location: Brighton | Salary up to £40,000 pa depending on experience

This is a hands-on role requiring a ‘can do attitude’ and a sound commitment to creating and implementing social media marketing campaigns that deliver results and drive business growth.

The role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic social media and content specialist to join our UK-based marketing team. Working closely with the marketing manager, you will be tasked with creating varied social media content (video, copy, photography) and distributing it across multiple channels. We’re looking for someone naturally creative to generate and deliver engaging content that compels customers and prospects to engage with the Magenta Technology brand. We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of the social media space and how it can drive profitability for a technology business such as ours.

Key tasks will include:

  • Managing Magenta’s social media campaigns from conception to execution and analysis
  • Preparing innovative and engaging quality content for use in both online and offline marketing projects
  • Creating and executing social output (video, copy, photo) across multiple channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders from around the business to lead the social media content calendar
  • Measurement, analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns; creating monthly and ad-hoc reports to inform future planning
  • Using scheduling tools to plan, craft and perfect content, as well as employ analytics to monitor and shape your activity
  • Engaging with our social media audience of SMBs representatives, industry experts and individuals on a regular basis, review conversations & respond to online queries

Required skills and experience required for this role:

  • At least three years B2B social media experience, preferably within a fast-paced marketing agency
  • Solid social media expertise and extensive content marketing knowledge
  • Demonstrable examples showing where you have developed and delivered successful social media content campaigns
  • Experience of setting up and executing a social media content calendar over a 12+ month period
  • An established understanding of social media monitoring tools, such as Hootsuite
  • You have a passion for finding and telling compelling stories, and creating engagement within social audiences
  • Exceptional writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and you’re obsessively detail-oriented; your English language grammar is immaculate
  • Data-driven: you use your analytical skills to track performance in the area you own, and you continually use insights and seek feedback to make improvements
  • Proven ability to handle multiple high-priority projects and tasks, keep the balls you’re juggling in the air, and aren’t fazed by changing priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with Google Drive is desirable
  • Experience of working within the transport and logistics sector would be of interest, but is not compulsory
  • A CIM marketing qualification (or similar) is desirable but not essential.

Our working environment:

Magenta Technology has two offices in the UK – one in London and one in Brighton, both with close links to our international offices located in Eastern Europe. This role will be based in our Brighton office where the successful candidate will work alongside our young, enthusiastic and rapidly growing team. Regular travel to London will be required, as well as occasional UK and overseas travel.
