Multi-Agent Technology

Magenta Technology is the world multi-agent technology development and commercialization leader. We have a proved successful experience of this technology application for solving complicated business problems in transport and marine logistics.

We have developed a unique combination of two core technologies:

These technologies are the basis of our powerful solutions and allow our clients get the considerable competitive advantages.

Why is multi-agent technology so unique?

In contrast with traditional systems where a solution is found as a result of centralized, sequential and deterministic algorithms, in multi-agent systems a solution is obtained as a result of distributed interactions of agents – autonomous software objects, which are aimed at finding may be not optimal but the best possible solution for each moment of time.

If an option they view as the best possible is occupied by another agent, they identify the conflict and try to solve this conflict by negotiating and making trade-offs. The compromise the agents achieve represents a temporary and, as a rule, so-called "unstable equilibrium" (balance) or, alternatively, "stable non-equilibrium" of their interests.

Feel the flavour of the multi-agent systems!
Traditional systems
  • Large-scale systems hierarchy
  • Step-by-step operations
  • Top-down instructions
  • Central solutions
  • Are operated by the data
  • Predictability
  • Stability
  • Complexity reduction approach
  • Total control
Multi-agent systems
  • Large-scale nets of small agents
  • Concurrent processing of operations
  • Negotiations
  • Distributed solutions
  • Are operated by knowledge
  • Self-organization
  • Evolution
  • Complexity increase approach
  • Provision of the terms for development
Strength of multi-agent technology!

This new principle radically differentiates our solutions and allows applying our tools, products and systems for solving the most complicated problems.

These problems include:

All these problems are characterized by uncertainty and high dynamics, multiple interdependencies, high complexity, necessity to consider a multitude of individual factors, non-linearity, and dependence on history or even on time moment and so on. That is why to solve such problems classical mathematics turns to new directions related to the theory of chaos, genetic programming, neural networks, fractals and others.

Industries where multi-agent technology can help

We believe that using of multi-agent technology can bring significant benefits in the following industries:
